Profiles of Resilience is a project that explores and celebrates African American contributions to American history, from the Civil Rights Movement to the culture that has come to define the nation.
Through the project, I set out to demystify the stories of resilience and honor the individuals that have made a lasting impact. As part of the project, I researched and wrote a series of profiles that provided a comprehensive overview of African American history. I also created visuals to accompany the stories. The goal of the project was to share a more complete narrative of African American history and to inspire a greater understanding of our shared history.
