Nat Turner (1800 - 1831) was an African-American slave and preacher who led the historic Southampton County slave revolt of 1831. Turner had a vision to inspire audiences to begin their own personal research into the contributions, impact and value African Americans have made in America. He wanted to highlight the Black History, intelligence and culture in a philosophical, reflective, thoughtful and insightful style with an engaging, enthusiastic, passionate, motivating and inviting tone. His authoritative, intelligent, resonant, empathic and contemplative voice was the perfect fit for philosophers, life learners, students, intellectuals and thinkers.
